These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Quilld application and related services (the "Service") provided by Covex Apps LTD ("Covex Apps", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using Quilld, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Quilld is a book-tracking app that lets you manage reading shelves, discover books, rate and annotate titles, connect with friends, and participate in reading clubs.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We try to give reasonable notice for material changes that affect paid features.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Quilld. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service and to make any purchases.

You may not use Quilld if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or if we have previously terminated your account for breach of these Terms.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate information and keep your email up to date.
• You may sign in with email/password or Google (where available).
• Notify us promptly at infocovexapps@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

One person per account. Do not share accounts or create accounts for others without permission.

4. Subscriptions and payments

4.1 Plans

Quilld offers:

Prices may vary by country, currency, and platform. The price shown in the app or store at purchase applies.

4.2 Payment

Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play (not directly by Covex Apps). RevenueCat helps us validate your entitlement. Payment terms of the applicable store also apply.

4.3 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your store account will be charged for renewal.

4.4 Managing and cancelling

Manage or cancel subscriptions in:

• iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
• Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions

Deleting the Quilld app or signing out does not cancel your subscription.

4.5 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Contact the store where you purchased. We cannot issue store refunds directly.

4.6 Restore purchases

Use Restore purchases in Profile → Settings if you reinstall or change devices.

4.7 Changes to pricing or features

We may change subscription prices or tier features. Store rules require notice where applicable. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance if permitted by the store.

5. Free tier limits

Free accounts are subject to usage limits (e.g. notes, quotes, club count) described in the app and on our website. We may adjust limits with notice where practical.

6. Your content

6.1 What you post

You may submit content including display names, ratings, notes, quotes, club messages, poll options, and social activity ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Covex Apps a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute your User Content only as needed to operate the Service (including showing it to other users according to your privacy settings).

6.2 Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have the right to post it and that it does not violate these Terms or applicable law.

6.3 Our rights

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or that we reasonably believe are harmful, illegal, or abusive. We are not obligated to monitor all content.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse others
• Post illegal, hateful, sexually exploitative, or violent content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Spam, scrape, or use automated means to access the Service without permission
• Reverse engineer, interfere with, or overload the Service
• Circumvent tier limits, payment, or security measures
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Intellectual property

Quilld, its branding, design, and original code are owned by Covex Apps or its licensors. Book cover images and metadata may come from third parties (e.g. Open Library) and remain subject to their terms.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute our app or branding except as allowed by law or with our written permission.

10. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties including Supabase, Firebase, RevenueCat, Google, Apple, and book data providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation. Book metadata may be incomplete or inaccurate.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COVEX APPS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) £100 GBP.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Covex Apps from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using Quilld at any time. You may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (licences granted to us for operational purposes, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms) will survive termination.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

You agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers in the EEA/UK may also have mandatory rights to bring claims in their country of residence.

Before formal proceedings, contact infocovexapps@gmail.com and allow 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may be notified in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
